A woman (French) dragged me here to Zurich 16 years ago but that's an old story (8 yrs. divorced). Daughter was born here (kid is tri-lingual, English, German, French) so this is the best place for her and me too..
Really a beautiful country..

Grrrrrr....!!!

Americans and geography do NOT mix...!! No, we do NOT speak Swedish in Switzerland but they DO speak Swedish in "Sweden"...! Confusing Sweden for Switzerland is about the same as confusing Alaska for Alabama...!!! Sound similar but worlds apart!
In Switzerland we (they) have 4 languages, German, French, Italian and Romansch. Zurich (where I live) is German speaking which is the reason my daughter and myself speak German.

Let me know if you're going to pass through the Zurich area and I could give you a tour of the place, you'd love it..!

Heh, I sympathize. I lived in Austria for a couple years, and when I tell people that, I sometimes get a "Wow, you lived in Australia? Cooooool!" Rolls Eyes

Before I moved here a co-worker came up to me and asked me if I was really moving to Sweden, I said no I'm moving to "Switzerland", you know, it's the country in the middle of Europe surrounded by Germany, France, Italy and Austria..
She then got very excited, AHHHH Australia.. It must be very beautiful there..!!
I then walked over to the wall and started banging my head against it...
